Introduction

This course is one of the 5 courses in the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship Program (FEP). It combines e-learning with guided practical classes and exercises. The course will enable you to better understand Project management best practices. You will also develop MS Project software skills which you can combine with this Project management knowledge to deliver projects in any sector.

Learning Objectives

Learn to apply MSP skills and Project management knowledge referenced from PM BOK for Project Scope, Cost, schedule, Resource and Communications management as it applies generally to projects across all industries.
Learn Schedule development. In the practical stage of the training, you will learn to use project schedules that has been prepared with Microsoft Project to manage project execution, Project monitoring and reporting.

Delivery Methods and Training Time table

This course is delivered both online and live. The online option is registered as a single course, lasting a week. The live option is registered under FEP and delivered as a 2 day crash course in the FEP course series, made up of 5 courses with a total duration of 1 week. The FEP live training is followed by a 3 weeks micro internship to practice and consolidate the knowledge you have gained.

This course is designed for Fresh graduates from any discipline, entry level staff, new intakes into companies and those that work in any organization with responsibilities in Project planning and execution. Experienced professionals such as Project Managers, Project Leads and supervisors also take it to up-skill.

Tuition Fees is $100 (#60,000 – Subsidized). Whether you are taking the course online or in FEP Classroom, you can pay ahead or complete day 1 the live training before paying your tuition. What is the difference in value for in taking the course online or live tutoring

Online learning is self paced with a recommended duration of 4 days . Live tutoring is an instructor led crash course of 2 days

What is the tuition payment procedure for this course?

Tuition Fees is $100 (#60,000 – Subsidized). Whether you are taking the course online or in FEP Classroom, you have to complete your payment before you are given access to the course materials or classroom. nPayments can be made in USD or your local currency equivalent (usually subsidized) either by Bank Transfer or by Credit Card. If you want to pay by bank transfer, the account number will be available in the invoice you will be given during your registration.

What Incentives do you have for trainees that have incomplete tuition fees?

You can use your wallet function to save overtime towards this job skills training. nnThose that have saved up to 50% of the tuition can apply for 50% training grant from Orisson, subject to Terms and Conditions.n

Do I earn a salary during internship?

You are paid a monthly stipend during the 10 months of the Main Internship to cover your basic expenses. Mode of payment will combine your Opptan wallet and your bank account.

Is the internship placement automatic?

Micro Internship of 3 Weeks after FEP is mandatory and its placement is automatic. nDuring Micro internship, we select those who meet the Minimum internship criteria for admission into the Main internship. Intake into Main internship is 50% of all enrolled trainees. Those that do not meet main internship requirements can take a supplementary Micro internship test to make it into the Main internship at a latter date.

Course Structure

· Day 1 has 2 Modules, each made up of several Module topics, while Day 2 and 3 is a practical class

· Training delivery options and Duration in 8 hour days

o For self-paced Trainees: 4 days Or self-paced using Training Videos and text

o For FEP Trainees: 2 day Crash course, Classroom training with zoom link for remote participants

· Online trainees pay for the single course only and do not participate in internship

· FEP trainees take the course in a course series of 5 courses and participate in internship

· This duration includes the time for your Exercises / Assignment

· Training Videos will be included in the course module with the link to access and view later at your own time.

· Class Exercise is partly aimed at testing the strength of knowledge you gained from the topics.

· Day 1 is the theoretical part of the training. The rest of the course is practical training in which you will apply project management skills using Microsoft Project in real life scenarios.

· FEP trainees can participate remotely by connecting to the live classroom learning via google meets
