Introduction
This course is one of the major courses for Agricultural Engineering Department in our Training School. Farm machinery are a group of Mechanical equipment used in farm production covering machinery for soil preparation, cultivation, harvesting, and also for irrigation systems. Farm machinery is essential for increase in food production and food security. This course will give the trainees a deep insight into the functional description, operational applications Component parts and attachments that make up various farm machineries. Practical work exercise and quizzes will be done based on real project cases.

Course Target Audience
This course is designed for a wide target audience that is inclusive of Fresh graduates of Engineering background, that have not had any work experience, entry level professionals and those seeking to build a career in mechanized farming. Others are those that seek job roles that has to do with the design, installation and maintenance of Diesel Engines, Irrigation equipment and Farm machinery.
Delivery Methods
This course is delivered online in a monthly cycle for self-paced learners. It is also offered full time under TAP (Technology Apprenticeship Program) as a series of 6 courses followed by internship. TAP enrollment is Quarterly or annually. A conceptual project, documents from a past or ongoing Project or linked to a processing plant operations forms the basis of practical classes. At the end of each section, you will take a short quiz aimed at testing your understanding of the topics taught. An online Slack channel which will be your virtual classroom and means of communication with other trainees and the tutor. Site visit is done Quarterly or periodically for Online groups.
Practical component of this course
During the 6 day duration of this course the practical application of what you learn will be discussed in the virtual classroom and through Class exercises. The practical aspect of the Training is delivered through internship or Site Visit. Site visit is arranged quarterly or biannually for combined batches of online learners. This course can be taken as a single course to up-skill in your career by brief practical exposure in a site visit.
Alternatively, you can take the course as one of the 6 courses in our Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP). TAP gives a wider and deeper practical exposure through our Internship that last for total duration of 1 year. TAP enrolment is exclusive to those on Orisson Training Bond or those that are able to pay the Consolidated Tuition payment for 6 TAP Courses by departmental groups or Trainee / Sponsor preferred Course combination.
